On the sacred occasion of the 135th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Buddha Purnima (Vaishakh Day), a grand three-day “Global Peace Conference” was organized in Nagpur. Thousands of people participated in this event, and many representatives, monks, nuns, and devotees from India and abroad attended the conference.
A three-day Sanghdan program was also successfully organized, in which the Indian Bhikshu Sangh, along with monks and devotees from various countries, actively participated. Several ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, and respected personalities from different social and religious sectors of Nagpur and Maharashtra attended the event and extended their support.
Mainstream Media also played an important role in this conference, helping to spread the message of Buddha Dhamma, peace, compassion, and humanity to a wider audience.
This conference was not limited only to the Buddhist community; representatives from all religions and communities participated and shared the message of brotherhood, harmony, and world peace. Sabir Bhai attended as a representative from Haji Ali Dargah and Mahim Dargah. Vijay Pastor Ji from the Christian community also participated and extended his support. Mahesh Sadhwani Ji from the Sindhi community and Gurudayal Ji from the Sikh community also made significant contributions in making the conference successful. The presence of representatives from all religions truly gave this event the form of an “Interfaith and Global Peace Conference.”
International delegates experienced and appreciated Indian culture and Buddhist culture. Specially, respected Lichi Rain Ji from South Korea, who has written a book on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and is actively working for the promotion of Buddha Dhamma in South Korea, attended the conference. He has also installed a statue of Babasaheb in his temple. The presence of such a great personality at this conference was a matter of pride and inspiration for all of us.
This event was successfully organized with the joint support of Sanghkaya Foundation and various social, religious, and Buddhist organizations. We sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all respected individuals, organizations, Bhikshu Sangh, media representatives, volunteers, and devotees who directly and indirectly contributed to making this historic event successful.
